【Summary】
At present, the treatment of dry eye disease in Western medicine is mostly the temporary method. Most of them use anti-inflammatory drugs combined with antibiotics and artificial tears to alleviate the symptoms, but in the long run it will still make patients feel uncomfortable and reduce their tolerance. Therefore, more and more patients will refer to Chinese medicine, hoping to improve the quality of life. The content of this medical record is a 40-year-old woman who was diagnosed with dry-eyed syndrome in the Department of Ophthalmology in April 2021. She underwent continuous treatment with artificial tears after a temporary punctal occlusion operation. Recently, she suffered from photophobia, blurred vision at night, and dry eyes. After one month of TCM treatment, the efficacy has improved significantly. This effective case is hoped to be provided to the TCM practitioners as a reference for clinical practice.
