Taiwan has entered an aging society, and the demand and burden of care for multiple and degenerative diseases in the elderly is increasing. The treatment of Chinese medicine has the characteristics of integrity and convenience, and can provide a new direction for aged care. This case report is an 86-year-old male,old and debilitated, suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes for many years, stomach has been removed due to gastric cancer, small stroke caused adverse action twice, edema after treatment of cough, elimination of edema after treatment with traditional Chinese medicine. Afterwards, he developed symptoms of dementia, unclear emotions, incontinence, with TCM and scalp acupuncture,fortunately can gradually recover.
