【Summary】
The second metatarsophalangeal joint dislocation is in the category of "dislocation" in Chinese medicine. In our article, anatomy of hallux valgus and foot biomechanics are disused with metatarsalgia to further explored for the compensatory mechanism of the foot. It is importance for transmetatarsal ligaments and capsules to maintain the transverse arch. It was found that although not every patient with hallux valgus was accompanied by metatarsalgia; however,it is reasonable to speculate that there is a close relationship between them.
