【Summary】
The male patient presented with frequent urination and nocturia and was diagnosed as benign prostate hypertrophy. He came to nephrology clinic with lower limbs edema and routine urine analysis showed proteinuria. Therefore he visited traditional Chinese medicine clinic center for further treatment. Traditional Chinese medicine treated patient with syndrome differentiation as the book ‘Dialectical record’ : ‘the syndrome that kidney deficiency progression to damp heat’, “the treatment should clear heat and expel damp of bladder quickly, to improve the root cause.Besides clearing the heat and expelling the damp, the more important thing is to enhance the qi of kidney.” As above mentioned, the attending physician prescribed the Zhen Wu Tang and used aconite to enhance the qi of kidney to improve the condition.
